Your new role
As an Asset Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely recording of Work-in-Progress, Capex, and Fixed Asset transactions. You'll provide insightful reporting and analysis to support decision-making and contribute to process improvements across the finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate accounting for Work-in-Progress, Capex, Fixed Assets, and inventory.
- Prepare and deliver reports and KPIs with meaningful analysis for stakeholders.
- Assist with capitalisation advice and ensure compliance with relevant policies.
- Reconcile sub-ledgers to the General Ledger monthly and maintain the Fixed Asset Register.
- Coordinate periodic asset counts and update records accordingly.
- Prepare journals and ensure timely processing of transactions.
- Support ad hoc management accounting projects and investigations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve processes and controls.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline.
- Part-qualified or aspiring to be a CA/CPA/CIMA member.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Experience in fixed asset accounting is highly desirable.
- Flexible work arrangements across a 9 day fortnight arrangement.
- Supportive managers, helping you achieve career goals and can mentor for CA/CPA studies.
- Great location at Brisbane Airport, with parking available.
- Fully negotiable base salary between $90k - $110k + super.
